Description

Following up on Tatami's Dragon Fightwear line comes the matching gi featuring the same slick artwork of Seymour Yang. Decorated with a fully sublimated collar that beautifully captures Meerkatsu’s colorful designs, the Dragon Fly Kimono combines patches, contrast stitching and lapel piping with new Tatami Fightwear embroidery. Fusing premium style and performance, the Tatami x Meerkatsu Dragon Fly Gi is as striking as it gets when it comes to Jiu Jitsu gis, while fully equipped for grappling with triple stitching across all stress points, double reinforced knee padding, lightweight pearl weave jacket and lightweight cotton canvas gi pants.

The eagerly awaited Meerkatsu x Tatami Dragon Fly Gi is one of the most unique Bjj gis ever made. One of the first Bjj GI's with a fully sublimated collar, makes this Gi stand out from the crowd with a striking design. Designed by Meerkatsu with the assistance of Tatami designers, the Dragon Fly Gi is truly a work of art.

Also noteworthy is the lightweight feel of the fabric, which allows you to move at your best while enduring a demanding training session.  Get in the spirit of the season this spring with the addition of this Meerkatsu Heavenly Gi to your BJJ apparel collection.

“Having been commissioned to design gis for so many other fightwear brands, I wanted my first design to reflect what I considered to be the true virtues of jiu jitsu. I reprised my three previous geisha versus demon artworks for the inner panel and complimented the theme with floral mon-style motifs on the outside. It is neither plain, nor overly-decorated.

Jiu Jitsu is about balance, composure, understanding, skill and technique. I still cling to the original tenet as stated by the founders of our system, that the smaller, weaker yet skilled person can defeat the larger, stronger less skilled opponent. I hope my Heavenly Kimono is a reflection of these goals.” – Seymour Yang
